Parents: In History, I have realized that students always have homework (not in the traditional sense). READ READ READ. Students who read the sections will benefit.
Chapter 11 Islamic Civilization
Students will be in the (intake) mode mostly this week in History. They'll also do some independent work to reinforce the information taught.

Sociology
I'll collect the Civics Books from last semester. Students who fail to turn in books by the end of the week will begin having break detention next week. Students have a project due for Friday. The assignment: Research newspapers and news sites to discover cases of child abuse in our own area (Alabama). Students will present one case in front of the class on Friday. This will be a project grade. Students must bring a copy of the web address used as a resource or a printed page from the Newspaper or site.
No late projects will be accepted. If you are absent on Friday, the project can be emailed to the teacher.
