U.S. History/ 9th Grade World History
These classes will be concluding Roots.
Standards covered during this week will be
Alabama SS 10.1.3
               SS 10.8
               SS 10.8.1
Explain how the institution of slavery developed in the American Colonies.
Explain and trace the journey from Africa to America including the Slave Auction.
Explain efforts of abolitionists prior to the Civil War.
Describe abolition efforts in the North in the late 18th Century.
Explore Slave culture and way of life.
Students will continue to complete the viewers guide each day. (Each student will get a daily grade for the completion of the guide).
